Leaf Rapids, named for a small Manitoba town, is Keri and Devin Latimer's latest musical project. They have been performing together since 1996 in the band Nathan. Over the years, Nathan has toured internationally and appreciated various forms of recognition including a Juno Award, three Western Canadian Music Awards and three Canadian Folk Music Awards.
Their music is primarily a reflection of landscape – miles and miles of grass or snow in any direction, and the northern lights dancing above. Their sound resembles the Canadian grasslands, as beautiful as they are harsh, taking notes from Canada's soft tones and tough seasons. It features Keri's sweet vocals accompanied by her deft guitar-playing and haunting theremin manipulations, supported by Devin's slow-and-steady bass grooves. Recently signed to Black Hen Music, Leaf Rapids' inaugural album, Lucky Stars, will be released on April 17.

Slow Leaves is the recording name of Winnipeg's Grant Davidson. He has garnered a reputation as much for his honest lyrics and stirring voice as his intimate stage performances and confessional storytelling. His country-tinged folk music is deeply rooted in the genuine and honest, rich in melody and sung from the heart of downtown.
Davidson cut his teeth in coffeehouses before releasing two full-length albums under his own name. The first, a hard-luck roots record, Tired Limbs for Ashes (2009), drew heavily from the sounds of 70s Nashville. His next release, Dust and Violets (2011), saw Davidson expanding on the "roots" format, writing songs of a more personal lyrical nature. His latest release, Beauty Is So Common (2014), is full of warmth, rich in melody, and backed by an abundant production that never overwhelms the skillfully crafted folk songs.
